AI Is the New Sheriff in Town

While Vice President J.D. Vance leads the national task force to root out fraud and prosecute the fraudsters, several states are planning their own campaigns to do the same at the local level. Arizona is the first of these states to take bold action against Medicaid fraudsters. Gov. Katie Hobbs unveiled a first-in-the-nation AI tool that will “help flag claims that are at high risk for fraud so they can be reviewed before any payment goes out.” [The Center Square] 

Launching July 2026, this technology will stop thieves before a single taxpayer dollar ever leaves the building. Proverbs 11:3 declares, “The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.” Amen. Criminal duplicity has been catastrophically costly in the US, and Americans are done tolerating it.

The Theft Was Staggering

This isn’t about small-time scammers — this is organized, calculated larceny on a grand scale. When Hobbs took office in January 2023, claims for the procedures most targeted by fraud reached nearly $350 million. By July 2025, that number dropped to just over $100 million. Her administration also uncovered a staggering $2.5 billion Medicaid fraud scheme that ran from 2019 to 2023, primarily exploiting Native Americans — steering vulnerable people to unlicensed homes and billing for services that never existed. Millions have milked what was built for the truly desperate and needy, and it is a disgrace.

God Is Watching — And Now, So Is AI

If you are defrauding Medicaid and other government welfare, repent and stop — the Bible is clear whether you believe it or not. Numbers 32:23 warns: “Be sure your sin will find you out.” And it will. To the single mother holding it together by a thread, the recovering addict fighting for their life, the elderly person who cannot eat without this program — this charitable system was built for you. Use it, heal, and rise. But rise you must. If you are able to work, there are no excuses to defraud the system. A government check was never meant to replace your God-given purpose. You were created to produce, to contribute, and to leave this world better than you found it. Now go out and do just that.
