When God’s Glory Wrecks You Right

“When God’s Glory Wrecks You Right

We’re living in a time where too many Christians are chasing platforms, not the presence of God in their lives. But in a fiery, Spirit-drenched message, Pastor Tai Locke — from Global Vision Bible Church located in Lebanon, Tennessee, who is also the wife of firebrand Pastor Greg Locke — cut straight through the noise in her sermon on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. “The glory of God is not for performance; it’s for transformation,” says Pastor Tai Locke.

Don’t Rush Past That

“The glory of God on your life is not for performance.” It’s not to lay hands on the sick—it’s not to cast out devils—it’s not to build a mega platform—though these are good things. Pastor Tai declares, “It’s for the sole purpose of conforming you to His image.”

This isn’t the feel-good message of cultural Christianity — this is Holy Spirit fire. God’s glory isn’t a stage light for your gifts. It’s a refining fire meant to burn away everything that doesn’t look like Jesus.

Second Corinthians 3 draws a hard line between the old covenant of law — fading glory that brought death — and the new covenant of the Spirit — glory that gives life. Pastor Tai brings it home: “We weren’t saved to perform, we were saved to be transformed.”

And ladies and gentlemen, this starts with us. Because when a Spirit-filled, born-again believer in Jesus Christ yields to the glory of God, your household shifts. Your children straighten up. Your marriage bows to the King of Kings. And you become a walking altar.

“The blood speaks a better word,” Pastor Tai proclaims.

And if you’ve ever been accused, abused, addicted, or abandoned — you know how badly we need that Word.

Pastor Tai doesn’t preach theory. She testified. In her own words, God’s glory confronted her — not to shame her, but to expose her and cover her at the same time. That’s Bible: “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed” (2 Corinthians 3:18). That mirror doesn’t lie. It reveals. It cuts to the very core of who we really are. And then — by His mercy — it remakes. It restores. It redeems.

This Is the Part That Wrecks You

“The glory reveals where you need the blood,” Pastor Tai says.

That means this isn’t about looking clean. This is about getting clean. Not about having a testimony, but being one.

The call? Crucify the flesh. Walk in the Spirit. Stop trying to carry God’s name with dirty hands. Look in the mirror and lay it all down. Stop looking for a platform — instead, be a platform to usher in the glory of God and be a miracle in someone else’s life.

Remember, it’s not about us. It’s about Him — and bringing glory to only Him.

So, I’ll ask what Pastor Tai asked — Are you just spiritual, or are you truly surrendered? Because the glory of God doesn’t make you popular. It makes you holy.

And holiness still matters.
