The silence is criminal—and the blood is real. Pastor Greg Locke didn’t hold back when he lit up the pulpit this Sunday, calling out what few in the media dare to acknowledge: Christians in Nigeria are being systematically exterminated. Entire villages are wiped out, churches torched, and pastors executed—all while the liberal press hides behind euphemisms like “clashes” and “banditry.”
“They’re not reporting it because it doesn’t fit their narrative,” Locke thundered. “If these were Muslims being slaughtered, it’d be global outrage. But when it’s black Christians, it’s silence. It’s genocide—and it’s happening right now.”
If you search the web for factual reporting of this genocide, as Pastor Locke notes, you simply won’t find it. Why? Because it would expose the evils of Islamist terror, and they simply can’t allow that in the midst of their anti-Israel pro-Islam campaign. What you will find, however, are fellow conservatives beginning to expose the cover-up. Thank God, Pastor Locke is not the only voice sounding the alarm. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), who is among the most credible voices in the US, has been one of the few in Washington willing to call this nightmare what it is:
“Nigerian Christians are being targeted and executed for their faith by Islamist terrorist groups, and are being forced to submit to sharia law and blasphemy laws across Nigeria.” (cruz.senate.gov)
While Cruz’ affirms Locke’s outrage, the pastor brings the missing ingredient: the fire of conviction. He’s not reading a report. He’s warning the Church.
During the clip (embedded below), Pastor Locke drives straight at the hypocrisy of Western Christianity:
“You post every headline about Gaza, every story about Ukraine—but you won’t touch what’s happening to your own brothers and sisters. Why? Because it doesn’t trend. Because it’s not politically safe. Meanwhile, thousands of Christians are dying every single month in Nigeria, and the Church scrolls on like it’s nothing.”
Locke points out that entire congregations in Nigeria’s Middle Belt have been wiped out by Islamic extremist militias, yet major outlets still describe it as “farmer–herder conflict.” “That’s not journalism,” he says. “That’s propaganda.” While Senator Cruz admits, “50,000 Christians in Nigeria have been massacred, and over 18,000 churches and 2,000 have been destroyed” since the start of the genocide—horrific numbers that few are reporting— Locke believes the actual numbers are far more tragic. Watch the clip below—and you’ll feel why he’s right.
Locke’s challenge to believers couldn’t be more direct:
As Locke said, “If the Church won’t call it out, who will? Because the devil’s not slowing down.”
This isn’t “over there.” It’s happening now—on our watch. The Body of Christ is being butchered while the West scrolls past. We have no excuse left for ignorance, and no refuge in silence.
“For behold, the Lord is coming out from his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity, and the earth will disclose the bloodshed on it, and will no more cover its slain.”(Isaiah 26:21)
