Trump Drops the Mic on Walmart: ‘I’ll Be Watching”

We loaded up our Walmart carts through COVID lockdowns, leaned on curbside pickups, and made them filthy rich—now they’re whining about tariffs? Spare us.

President Trump, in true America First fashion, isn’t letting Walmart off the hook. During a rally in New Jersey, he took direct aim at the company’s threats to raise prices if tariffs on Chinese goods return. “You’re going to make so much money, Walmart. You can EAT THE TARIFFS, and not charge valued customers ANYTHING. I’ll be watching, and so will your customers!!!” Trump said Friday night (Gateway Pundit).

Walmart made billions while small businesses were forced to close their doors during COVID. The rest of us were told to isolate while Walmart not only stayed open but expanded services like delivery and pickup. Now, they’re crying “consumer harm” because Trump wants to put America first?

Walmart isn’t a mom-and-pop shop just scraping by. It’s a global monopoly that thrives on cheap Chinese labor while undercutting American manufacturing. According to CNBC, a Walmart executive claimed that tariffs “are taxes on consumers” and would “lead to higher prices” (CNBC).

We’re not buying it, Walmart—if you’re that dependent on China to keep prices low, you’re the problem. Maybe it’s time you rethink your supply chain instead of threatening American families with price hikes.

Trump gets it. “If a company doesn’t want to pay tariffs, then make it in America,” he said, hammering home the real solution (CNBC). It’s not rocket science. It’s patriotism.

And biblically? The Bible doesn’t take kindly to unjust business. Proverbs 11:1 says, “A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight.” Walmart built its empire on an unjust balance—favoring foreign factories while choking out American suppliers. That’s not just unpatriotic. It’s just wrong.

If Walmart truly cared about its shoppers, it wouldn’t be threatening us with price hikes—it would be finding ways to invest in the country that made it rich. America gave Walmart everything: the customers, the land, the infrastructure, and the freedom to stay open while churches and small businesses were padlocked.

Now Walmart wants to weaponize its market power to pressure political policy? No thanks.

Trump said it best: “They’re not going to raise the price. They’re going to eat it.” And if they don’t, maybe it’s time we remind them who holds the real power: we the people (Gateway Pundit).

Walmart, if you can survive a pandemic and rake in billions, you can survive tariffs.

Eat them.
