Trump Cuts LGBTQ Hotline Funding—Gavin Newsom Loses It
Gavin Newsom’s tantrum over Trump’s decision to slash federal funding for LGBTQ-specific crisis hotlines is not about protecting kids—it’s about pushing propaganda. And let me say this as a woman, a believer, and a mother: I’m glad the funding was cut. Because what Newsom is defending isn’t help—it’s a trap.
In classic California fashion, Newsom is backing a bill that forces schools to put The Trevor Project’s LGBTQ crisis hotline number on the back of every student’s ID. Can you imagine? He claims it’s about saving lives: “Suicide is the second leading cause of death among LGBTQ youth,” he said, calling Trump’s move “indefensible” (Politico). Make no mistake: this is grooming, not guidance.
Putting a direct pipeline into a student’s pocket—without parental consent and with zero oversight—is not mental health care. When did it become okay for unelected activists to access children 24/7 through something as personal as their school ID? Where’s the accountability?
Because truth is, the mental health crisis is real.
Even the American Psychiatric Association admits that LGBTQ-identifying individuals are more than twice as likely to suffer from mental health disorders. That’s not a hate statement—it’s a red flag. We need truth-driven help, not confusion packaged in rainbow flags.
You want to talk suicide prevention? Start by telling the truth. God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). But our schools, our media, and yes, our tax-funded hotlines have become megaphones for identity chaos. Romans 1 warned us this would happen: when a society rejects God’s truth, it gets handed over to a debased mindset.
This is not love. This is not compassion. This is spiritual warfare going on—and our children have become the casualties.
Newsom wants to shame Trump for pulling the plug. But I’ll say it louder: Trump did the right thing. We need to cut off access to anything that bypasses parental authority and biblical clarity. No more open doors to anonymous strangers whispering lies into the minds of confused kids.
Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go.” Not the way culture wants him to go. Not the way the LGBTQ lobby demands he go. The way God designed him to go—on purpose, with purpose, and not according to his feelings, but according to truth.
This is not about politics. It’s about protecting the next generation from being devoured by wolves in “affirming” clothing. And it’s time we start flipping the tables.
Jesus didn’t coddle corruption. He overturned it. And so should we.
