In a fiery commentary delivered during last Sunday’s service at Global Vision Bible Church in Tennessee, Pastor Greg Locke condemned the liberal media for ignoring what he calls a “Christian genocide” happening in Syria. “Let me tell you something nobody’s talking about,” Locke declared. “Right now in Syria, thousands of Christians are being slaughtered by Muslims, but nobody’s talking about it.”
Locke accused the mainstream media of deliberately ignoring these atrocities while focusing on their hate for Israel. “The mainstream media still wants to talk about Israel oppressing Gaza, which is nothing but nonsense,” he argued. “They won’t talk about all the Christians having their heads cut off… men, women, and children, shooting them in the face, snapping their necks on television, people cheering in the streets.” He described videos of mass killings: “It’s gut-wrenching to watch—trucks loaded like cattle, men, women, and children executed.”
He dismissed the false claims of genocide against Palestinians, calling it “crack-smoking stupidity.” “It’s the only genocide in history where there are more Palestinians now after the war started than before it began!” Meanwhile, he stressed that a real genocide is taking place against Christians, but “nobody’s saying a word.”
Locke sees this silence as part of a broader attack on Christianity. “They came after the Jews first, and everybody was quiet, but it’s always been Christians number two on the list.” The pastor called on Christians to break the silence: “We ought to get loud on Facebook, GET LOUD on X, get loud on Instagram. Let the world know we’re not going to stand for this evil nonsense.” He also rebuked church leaders who refuse to take a stand: “I’m not against what you say. I’m against what you don’t say.”
Locke declared, “We’re the media now,” and he urged believers to use their platforms to expose the truth: “If you have any sort of a following, why don’t you use it for the glory of God?” His message was clear: Christians must wake up, speak up, and refuse to be silent.
Several hours after Locke’s comments gained attention on social media, Secretary of State Marco Rubio addressed the situation in Syria. In a post on X, Rubio condemned the violence, stating:
The United States condemns the radical Islamist terrorists, including foreign jihadis, that murdered people in western Syria in recent days. The United States stands with Syria’s religious and ethnic minorities, including its Christian, Druze, Alawite, and Kurdish communities,…

“The United States condemns the radical Islamist terrorists, including foreign jihadis, that murdered people in western Syria in recent days. We stand with Syria’s religious and ethnic minorities, including its Christian, Druze, Alawite, and Kurdish communities, and offer our condolences to the victims and their families. The perpetrators of these massacres against Syria’s minority communities must be held accountable.”
Rubio’s statement underscores the gravity of the situation in Syria and aligns with Locke’s call for awareness and action. Both leaders highlight the need for the international community to acknowledge and respond to the atrocities committed against Christians and other minority groups in the region.
In the days following Pastor Greg Locke’s provocative commentary, the silence from major news outlets has been deafening. Despite the United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, personally confirming the atrocities, the vast majority of mainstream media has refused to acknowledge the unfolding genocide of Christians in Syria.
Not a single major outlet has reported on it in a fashion commensurate to the crimes, and most deliberatly minimize (or altogether omit) the targeting of Christians. The same networks that dedicate endless hours to pushing narratives of so-called oppression in Gaza have completely ignored the documented mass executions of Christian men, women, and children. As Locke warned, “Nobody’s talking about it!”—and they’re still not really talking about it.
Why is a confirmed genocide of Christians not worthy of national headlines? Why does the media eagerly push false narratives of “Israeli genocide” while ignoring actual mass killings of Christians at the hands of jihadists? If the mainstream press refuses to tell the truth, then it is up to the people of faith to expose the lies, spread the truth, and demand justice. As Locke said, “We’re the media now,” so the Christian world needs to wake up and speak up.
In our namesake passage of Scripture, Jesus famously retorted, “‘It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.” (Matthew 16:3)

Pray for strength to stay strong in the conviction of their faith in GOD thru Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. It is not a worry to lose their earthly life but eternal damnation if they die having lost their faith in GOD thru Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit; for that is irreversible. Pray for them to die as most faithful servants of GOD who will join HIM in eternity forever. The scripture warns and teaches these days are to come and only those who hold tightly to their belief in Jesus Christ the Only Begotten Son of God and do NOT waver, will die as martyrs but are resurrected with CHRIST the LORD and SAVIOUR who already paid the price for our sin by DYING and being RESURRECTED VICTORIOUS OVER SIN AND DEATH.
