Standing Against Israel? Then You’re Standing Against God

The Bible is clear: “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse” (Genesis 12:3). There is no middle ground. To be a born-again, Bible-believing Christian is to stand with Israel. Anything less is compromise against God Himself.

In a recent sermon Pastor Greg Locke declared, “If you hate Israel, you cannot love the God of Israel.” People hate the Jews because they know—they are God’s chosen. That’s why antisemitism is the greatest demon of our day. It’s the same spirit that drove Pharaoh, Haman, Herod, and Hitler, now hiding in today’s culture warriors and political pundits. Different names, same demon, same hatred of God’s people.

Feelings don’t matter.

The Jews may be blinded for a time, but God promises their eyes will open. As Romans 11 declares: “A partial hardening has come upon Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And in this way all Israel will be saved.” He is faithful to His Word. And if Scripture is true, Christians must stand as watchmen, blessing Israel until the day of her repentance.

Yes, the Bible is clear about Israel’s rebellion.

They were stiff-necked, stubborn, idolaters, fornicators, adulterers—you name it, they fell into it. But let’s not kid ourselves—we are no better. The Jews’ sins are written on the pages of Scripture for all to see, but our own sins cry out just as loud before a holy God. Their rebellion is a mirror of ours. We too are whoremongers, idolaters, fornicators, adulterers, liars, and prideful people apart from Christ. The only difference is mercy—God’s mercy. And if He can still call Israel His chosen, then we have no ground to boast, only to bow. Israel’s redemption is drawing nigh, We have no right to give up on them now.

So I ask: will you bless what God has blessed? Or risk standing in the way of His promise? Choose wisely.

Clap your hands, all you lands! Sing a new song—for the Lord is good, and His mercy endures forever (Psalm 47:1; Psalm 96:1; Psalm 100:5).
