Something to Celebrate—U.S. Trade Deficit Hits 17-Year Low as Trump Policies Deliver Results

The outcome liberals said wouldn’t happen just happened.

The U.S. trade deficit has dropped to approximately $29.4 billion, the lowest level in 17 years, marking a decisive economic shift under President Trump’s trade agenda (The Gateway Pundit).

The reduction reflects sharply lower imports alongside stable exports, a long-sought correction after decades of lopsided trade that drained American industry and crippled our economy. 

This didn’t happen by accident. Trump and his team pushed forward with tariffs, trade enforcement, and pressure to reshore production, even as liberal politicians, globalist economists, and multinational interests insisted it would all backfire and have devastating results. They did all they could to block it, and thank God they failed.

Why did globalists protest? They want a weak America. 

A smaller trade deficit directly strengthens GDP, reduces dependence on foreign supply chains, and supports domestic manufacturing capacity. These are measurable outcomes—grounded in data—not slogans. The numbers reflect discipline, leverage, and a willingness to absorb short-term resistance to secure long-term economic strength. The liberals and globalists seek to destabilize the USA so they can more easily control us, so we must stay the course until we fully reverse the deficit. 

For years, Americans were told massive trade deficits were inevitable. This huge drop in just one year proves these deficits were political choices.
