This is what happens when fantasy meets a hot mic.
Senior Iranian Navy commander General Reza Abbasi appeared on Channel 1 (Iran) on June 15, 2025, where he confidently declared that “Israel is not even in the same league as our dear country, in terms of military power and capability.” In the same broadcast, he dismissed Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu as a “lunatic,” claimed Iran has revealed only “a fraction” of its capabilities, and boasted that the regime has been “training for this for 26–27 years.” (Newsrael)
In reality, Iran’s Navy is a laughingstock in the region—barely seaworthy, built on outdated Soviet junk, and best known for catching fire in port. And their equally laughable air force surrendered Iranian airspace this week without offering a single dog fight in the air. Their true military “strength” lies not in direct engagement but in outsourced terrorism, using Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis to fight wars they can’t win themselves. This is why they are so hell-bent on developing nuclear weapons: it’s their only path to relevance, respect, and survival—and their only chance at erasing Israel to fulfill their charter.
Meanwhile, Back in Reality
By contrast, Israel is universally acknowledged as the most elite military force in the Middle East, and maybe in the entire hemisphere. Precision, technological advancement, extreme courage, and battle-readiness define the IDF—and standing behind her is the full weight of the United States, the most powerful nation in history and the very force God used to help rebirth the Jewish nation after the Holocaust.
But Abbasi’s delusions don’t just insult intelligence—they cost lives. Every bold lie emboldens Iran’s terror networks. Every arrogant boast delays peace. Innocents on both sides bleed for the pride of men who love power more than mercy.
The truth? The Iranian people know their government is evil and inept so they are not rallying behind these war cries. Roughly 80% want the regime gone. They’re definitely not training for war—they’re too focused on surviving an oppressive dictatorship.
The Only True Super-Power
And while Ayatollahs posture and admirals preen, there is One who neither blinks nor backs down. The God of Israel is not moved by threats—hollow or not.
“He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.” (Psalm 121:4)
General Abbasi may have been “training for war for 27 years”—but he has no idea who he’s fighting. He’s not up against just Israel, or even the United States of America. He’s provoking the living God—and that’s a war no nation can survive.
Pray for Israel. Pray for Iran’s awakening. And pray for every innocent soul caught in the crossfire of this regime’s deadly delusion.
