DOGE Is Doing What Most Never Had the Guts To Do—And That’s Exactly Why the Critics Are Panicking

Let’s be real and raw:  the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is making people nervous—and for good reason. Because when you start shining light into dark corners, the ones who’ve been living off the shadows are going to start hissing. Elon Musk and his team aren’t just trimming fat; they’re dragging a bloated, dysfunctional system into the light of accountability. And it’s about time.

The critics are loud. They’re waving their arms, shouting about “radical ideas” and “unrealistic goals.” Let’s not play games—these aren’t innocent bystanders voicing concern. These are the same folks who’ve benefited from decades of waste, fraud, and unchecked power. When Musk revealed there are 4.6 million federal credit cards for just over 2 million employees, the silence from the status quo was deafening. Why? Because someone’s been feeding at that trough—and they’re terrified someone’s finally calling it out.

Musk’s goal to cut 15% of government spending without harming vital services is not only possible—it’s overdue. “We want to reduce spending by eliminating waste and fraud… which seems really quite achievable,” he said. And he’s right. What we’re seeing is a kingdom of comfort and corruption being confronted by a team bold enough to say, “Enough is Enough.”

And don’t even get me started on Joe Gebbia’s vision of government having an “Apple Store-like experience.” Imagine that—clarity, order, excellence. Isn’t that what leadership should look like? As a woman, I know what it’s like to walk into chaos and be expected to just deal with it. But DOGE is saying, “No. We’re not settling. We’re raising the bar.” And that’s a move I’ll applaud every time.

We don’t want to miss what’s really happening here. The people screaming the loudest aren’t scared of failure—they’re scared of exposure. Because when you start measuring things twice before you cut once, as Musk put it, you start seeing who’s been running on guesswork and greed. And for some, that’s a nightmare.

Let’s not play games—we know exactly why the critics are panicking. The old guard is being exposed, the grift is drying up, and the lights are flipping on fast. Thank God we finally have a team who’s not just in the room—but in the fight. And they’re in it to win it, no matter what it costs.

“For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light.” — Luke 8:17 (ESV)
