Boy With Unexplainable Digestive Disease Expected to Die; Receives Miraculous Healing

Every parent desires healthy children. Adrian’s parents desired the same thing. Unfortunately, their family faced a challenge that tested their faith. This is Adrian’s story of healing and how God gave them a miracle.

A mysterious disease 

When Adrian turned 5 months old, his mother was advised to introduce him to solid foods. But instead of a successful transition to solid feeding, Adrian was miserable. 

“He was in a lot of pain. He was screaming all through the night and all through the day,” Adrian’s mother shared.

“You try to do everything for him. But you can’t take away the pain,” Adrian’s father, Thomas, recalled. 

They sent their son to the hospital, and they later learned that most of his symptoms were related to his digestive system. Their ordeal went on for three years, staying at the hospital 80 to 120 days a year. He was a very sick boy, so ill in fact that several times they expected him to die.

Crying Out to God for Help 

Not knowing what to do anymore, Adrian’s mother just cried out to God. 

“Did you forget us?”

“Are you busy somewhere?”

These were just some of her questions to God. She would cry and cry until she had no tears left. But amid her anguish, she could feel God’s presence in the silence. 

At 11 years old, Adrian was thought to have some progressive muscular disease. He also had epilepsy, tachycardia, and a lot of other problems that caused him to grow very weak. At some point, the doctors told the family to create beautiful memories together as he may not live long.

Believing For Healing

Following the doctor’s advice, the family decided to attend Bethel’s church conference. They had never really been anywhere, so that was something that they wanted to do with Adrian. When they got to Bethel, Adrian leaned over to his mother and said, “Mom, now I know that whatever God has for me, that’s what I want. I know He wants the best for me.”

The conference then had a breakout session on healing, and at the end, someone asked if anyone needed a miracle. Adrian raised his hand, and a young man approached him, praying for his situation. 

Adrian said that he didn’t sense anything different after the session. However, during lunch, he unexpectedly ate a breadstick, which he would never do since he would get sick if he ate anything. His parents were terrified, but they decided to observe him.

The Miracle

The morning after, everything was normal and acceptable. Adrian even asked for breakfast, and their lives were never the same again. Doctors could not medically explain it, but Adrian experienced deliverance from his mysterious illness. Now, he has grown up and is living an everyday life. Surely, the Lord God Almighty still works miracles in our lives today.
