At Red Sky, we’ve never flinched from calling out tyrants. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was brutal, reckless, and morally bankrupt—and the blood of countless innocents is on Putin’s hands.
But if you’re still pretending that Ukraine is some peace-seeking choir boy in this war, you’re either misinformed—or you’re watching ABC News.
In their recent report on Russia’s latest overnight barrage, ABC shamelessly led with the strikes against Ukraine’s power infrastructure, portraying it (across eleven paragrahs of text) as another unprovoked act of Russian cruelty. But they didn’t open with what actually triggered the counterattack.
That little detail? Quietly buried twelve paragraphs deep:
“The latest Russian barrage came after a record-breaking night of Ukrainian drone attacks in Western Russia.”
That’s right—Ukraine launched the largest drone strike in modern history, sending over 480 unmanned kamikazi aircraft into Russian territory in a single coordinated offensive. That’s not defense. That’s not a reluctant reaction. That’s an aggressive escalation.
And ABC buried it like a rotting bone.
What they served readers instead was a narrative: that Russia, for no particular reason, “launched a massive overnight air attack.” As if Moscow suddenly decided to retaliate in a vacuum. It’s editorial malpractice—war propaganda dressed up as news. If you’re wondering how ABC editors could let such a blatantly dishonest piece get published, the answer is almost comical. They simply ensured the title mentioned it—also buried after opening with Russia’s attack. I barely noticed it in my rush to get to the meat of the article, and ABC (and their darling, Ukraine’s Zelensky) are counting on readers to miss it.
And then comes the gall. Zelensky had the nerve to “demand” more weapons from the U.S. and NATO—not request, not negotiate, but demand—as if American taxpayers are duty-bound to fund an unending war built on manipulated media and mass death.
We are not.
Over 500,000 people are already dead in this war, according to the latest estimates from intelligence officials reported by The New York Times and corroborated by multiple military sources.
There are credible theories that this number is exaggerated—amplified by war-mongering elites and defense contractors with a vested interest in perpetual conflict. Much of the battle footage fed to the media shows every sign of being AI-generated propaganda and green screen theatrics.
But strip away the smoke and mirrors, and this much is clear: real people are still dying. No matter how you slice it, the blood is real—even if the storyline is not.
And despite the body count, Ukraine’s leadership refuses to compromise. No diplomacy. No humility. Just more drones, more escalation, and more dead bodies.
Zelensky’s pride is killing his own people.
If Israel had launched 480 drones into Iranian territory and Iran responded, the media would cry foul. But when Ukraine does it, ABC hides the truth twelve paragraphs deep and leads the headline with the retaliation.
“Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.” (Ephesians 5:11)
We at Red Sky aren’t here to play favorites between corrupt empires. We’re here to tell the truth for the sake of real peace.
