“Call It What It Is: Iran’s Terror, Not America’s War”

No Timeline In Mind

“I don’t… I wouldn’t call it a war,” Vice President JD Vance told reporters this week, pushing back against framing Iran’s campaign of terror as a standard war (CNN). He argued the current hostilities shouldn’t even carry that label, since “active combat operations” ended months back. Vance made it clear: the timeline rests with Tehran, not Washington. America will not be shamed into a false deadline just because Iran refuses to stop.

Patience Mistaken for Weakness

Things were quiet for most of August. Then Iran moved to plant mines in the strait, and the U.S. rightly struck those positions first.  Iran read America’s restraint as surrender. It was dead wrong. Ecclesiastes 8:11 reminds us: “Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.” Delayed judgment is not the same as no judgment.

Stand Firm In Your Faith

Vance is not downplaying a war — he’s refusing to dignify Iran’s terror with the language of a fair fight between equals. This is good versus evil, and it deserves to be named as such. Pray for divine wisdom over our leaders and everyone in command and lastly, pray for the troops sent into battle for our safety and freedom.
