Yes, Tucker Carlson openly identifies as a Christian — in fact, he’s an Episcopalian and married to the daughter of an Episcopal priest. But titles don’t equal truth. He may think he’s clever when he mocks Christian Zionists as being “seized by a brain virus,” yet to me, that’s not wit — that’s willful mockery of God’s Word. Carlson’s sneering at believers who stand with Israel only reveals the shallowness of his faith and the blindness of his understanding. He may call himself awake, but his words reveal a deep spiritual blindness. How tragic.
In a recent article in The Christian Post, writer Tony Perkins powerfully reminds us, “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable” (Romans 11:29, Christian Post). In that chapter of Romans, the Apostle Paul wasn’t talking about political alliances — he was proclaiming the unshakable faithfulness of God to Israel. That covenant made to Abraham in Genesis 12:3 wasn’t a suggestion; it was a divine decree: “I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse.” That’s not outdated theology — it’s truth that still stands unshaken today.
Perkins continues, “Standing with Israel is not heresy — it’s biblical orthodoxy.” (Christian Post) Supporting Israel doesn’t mean endorsing every government decision — it means honoring God’s covenant promise. It means standing on Scripture when the world — and media pundits like Carlson — choose mockery over obedience.
And perhaps Perkins’ most searing line cuts through all the noise: “Paul didn’t have a brain virus, nor did he teach a nationalistic fantasy — he articulated divine revelation.” (Christian Post) Amen to that. God’s covenant with Israel remains intact because He doesn’t break His promises — not to Abraham, not to His chosen people, and not to those who believe in His Son.
Hebrews 13:8 declares: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” That’s why we as Christians should stand boldly for Israel — not because it’s politically convenient, but because the Word of God demands it. And we should never apologize nor be ashamed for believing what God himself has already decreed.
