Cornyn and Abbott: Time to “Locate and Arrest” These Lawmakers

The progressive left is at it again—dodging duty, promoting lawlessness, and parading it as courage. This week, a crew of Texas Democrat lawmakers fled the state to sabotage a congressional redistricting vote. Their childish stunt stalls legislation that could net Republicans five additional U.S. House seats—and with it, a major shift in power. They call it strategy, but it’s criminal sabotage.

As reported by the Washington Post, their absence has “halted progress on legislation tied to disaster relief and tax reform,” and even state budget hearings.

Senator Cornyn: “Dereliction of Duty”

U.S. Senator John Cornyn, a Texan, is calling them out. In a letter to the FBI, he demanded they use federal tools to “locate and arrest potential lawbreakers who have fled the state,” calling it a flagrant “dereliction of duty.” He also raised the possibility of federal bribery charges if the fugitives raised money to aid their obstruction.

“This is lawless behavior,” Cornyn wrote. “They swore an oath—and now they’re staging a stunt that weakens the very democracy they pretend to defend.” (New York Post)

Abbott Orders Arrest Warrants

Texas Governor Greg Abbott agrees. He’s already signed civil arrest warrants and empowered Texas law enforcement to haul the rogue lawmakers back in—dead or alive, politically speaking.

As detailed by People, Abbott even hinted at felony fundraising violations, warning, “If they’re collecting money to avoid paying fines—they’re crossing the line into criminal territory.”

“They’re not representing their districts. They’re not governing. They’re staging a charade,” Abbott said. (Time)

Defiance or Just Another Globalist Tantrum?

Some Democrat reps fired back with the slogan, “Come and take it.” Sure. We’ve heard that one before—usually from the side that actually supports the Constitution. This time, it’s just progressive cosplay from the same crowd that calls voter ID “racist” and promotes lawlessness on a daily basis.

This isn’t democracy in action—as they claim—it’s obstruction of government, and it’s time voters stopped tolerating this activist clown show.

You don’t have to riot in the streets or torch a courthouse to destroy a state. Sometimes all it takes is a runaway legislator with a plane ticket and no spine.
